Laser cut paper samples

I have adapted original drawings to designs ready for the laser cutting process. I have sampled with paper to view potential design faults which had to adjusted for the final cut.  Materials used have included plywood and acrylic.

I have been studying in the laser cutting process for over 3 years now and have experimented onto a range of different materials. I love the outcome of laser cut paper at its so delicate and lace like. I began to create laser cut cards using simple drawings. I have repeated designs and some i have played with scale. The background colours range from mat and shimmery shades.

I have been sampling with a range of different designs adapted for laser cutting. I am interested in creating a range of laser cut lampshades using fire proof plastic. The image below is the beginning of my creative process for this idea. I am excited to see where this idea will take me and the possible design outcomes.
